Theveed,
I have just bought 0000 steel wool and I intend to use it with 3M aerosol glass cleaner on my Civic`s water-marked windows.
Do I just spray the aerosol and lightly rub the surface, or is there more that I should know before starting?

I`d clean the glass first with a towel and glass cleaner. Then i usually just soak the wool and the glass then glide lightly for about 5-8x per "line". For tougher waterstains, I abstain from using more pressure but I use a different glass cleaning product such as a light polish or something. It`s been working pretty well.
I finally picked up some 0000 steel wool yesterday for $2.48 for a huge pack at NAPA, while I was picking up the free after rebate Stoners Invisible Glass. My car was repainted before I got it, and I had really annoying paint overspray on my side mirrors, and some spots on the window glass. I tried it without using any cleaner as lube in a small spot, and it worked great on my Honda windows... so I did the rest like that. 0000 steel wool + Stoners Invisible Glass took off all the overspray and even some minor watermarks that I didn`t really notice were there until I saw what the window looked like after, lol. Now my windows look like new and are ready for tinting!
