How polishing will remove scratches

Ok, I had someone come up to me, and they asked if I would be able to remove some scratches from the front of his car.



They aren` t down to the primer, but what polish would you reccomend? I tried some of this polish that was supposed to remove scratches ( GT40 scratch remover), it didn`t work, so I don`t know. Please forgive me for asking, but the search button didn`t turn up the results I was looking for.
