I broke down because of all the reviews and bought the Wolfgang kit.

    My questions are:

    1) What pad do you guys use for the Polish Enhancer?

    2) Is it abrasive? Is it a second step after a good polish, or a first step with near perfect paint?

    3) Is there a glaze-like effect from it like with Vanilla Moose?

    4) Do you like to top the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant with anything? Or is it to be left as is for maximum effect?

    5) Any durability reviews out there yet for the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant?

    Thanks!
    Seth

    There, there lil` Spilchy,

    1) White LC Pad. PC at 3.5-4

    2) It`s similar to SEC/GEPC/PPC...More of a cleaner than an abrasive.

    3) Yep...Comes off very easily and leaves behind that glossy, glazed look, ready for sealing.

    4) I suggest trying the Sealant as a LSP. It really does look great.

    5) Remains to be seen. I`ve had it on 2 vehicles for 3 1/2 weeks. One garaged and one not. Both still look great using only Poorboy`s S&W and Wolfgang Instant Detail Spritz to keep up the appearance.

This is truly an effortless product to apply and remove.

Menzerna IP -yellow pad (cutting) (PC or Rotary)

Menzerna FP - White (LC) / beige(Meg`s) pad(polishing) (PC or Rotary)

WG Paint Cleanser - white pad (PC) - work into finish and allow to haze ( 5-10 mins or longer. No ill-effects if unbuffed longer)

WG Sealant finishing pad (PC or Hand) - work into paint and allow to dry. I usually wait 45-60 mins for best results. Can be removed in 15-20 mins but from my experimenting ( 8 coats 3 cars) the longer the better. I allowed one coat to remain for over 3 hours. No problem, easy buffing, zero streaking and unbelievable results.

    All work done indoors.

    blkZ28Conv,

    Does layering WG sealant significantly?

At what point (# of layers) do you experience "diminishing returns"?

It really is quite a good combo, im a little concerned for wear though. I washed once (with WG), have had it (sealant) on for 3 weeks now, and the super slick feel has nearly left. But it is incredibly easy to use.....I put another layer on the following day, and like that so much i decided to do the entire truck......I have some reservations about the QD, i find it a little watery for my liking, and kind of difficult to use streak free. (maybe im just not use to it!). I usually dont find any additional layers, beneficial after about the third......just my .02.

So 45-60 mins would give better results or just buff off easier? I usually let it haze for maybe 10-15 minutes and buff off. Man this stuff is easy to use and sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

It can be an off-and-on sealant but the instructions state that the longer one allows to dry/cure the better the results. I detail as a pleasure so this activity is never rushed. I have used all of the popular sealants and everyone of them seems to benefit from extended dry/cure time. I will say that when I detailed outside with WG one time, 5-15 mins was just as effective as 30 - 60 mins indoors. So I agree that Scott`s method / results is just as good since he details outside.

Visual improvement after 3 coats on a well prepped finish. NO enhancement.

Nevertheless, this product is just like Zaino... Sooooo addictive that the acts of application and buffing is more beneficial mentally than the appearance enhancements of the added coats.

Think WG is slick on painted surfaces. Try some on glass! :shocked

NO question. WG is one of the slickest and longest lasting (many don`t last on glass--go figure).
