I basically have two cars I want to work on (shown in the picture below - I don`t have any pics of the damage but I posted it just to get an idea of the colors). In the past, I have just used Zaino on the cars but now I want to get more serious.

1989 Cougar XR7 - Single stage white paint

The paint is in good shape considering its age. It has some scuffs/scratches (nothing too major), water spots and dis-coloration.

    System:

    Dawn Wash

    Clay Bar

    Vinegar/Water Solution for Water Spots

    Wash

    Menzerna IP with Yellow Pad

    Menzerna FP with White Pad

AIO (is this needed? and what pad?)

    Full Zaino Treatment

    2002 Nissan SE-R Spec V - Vibrant Blue w/Clearboat

Since the car is new it is in excellent shape. Just some fine scuffs in the clear coat and I would like to remove and some contaminents

    System:

    Dawn Wash

    Clay Bar

    Wash

    AIO (again, what pad?)

    Full Zaino Treatment

So those are my ideas. Any suggestions/comments on what I have come up with?

    Thanks

I would drop the AIO and move the dawn wash to after the Menzerna twins if your doing Zaino.

If you want to use the AIO then drop the Dawn wash.

Dawn and AIO are doing the same job in relationship to Zaino.

The most car friendly is the AIO .. Dawn is the quickest/easiest.

    the dawn wash is fine

This is what I would do:

    System:

    CAR Wash

    Clay Bar

    Vinegar/Water Solution for Water Spots

    Menzerna IP with Yellow Pad

    Menzerna FP with White Pad

    DAWN Wash

    Full Zaino Treatment

    System:

    CAR Wash

    Clay Bar

    DAWN Wash

    Full Zaino Treatment

Use AIO with a white polishing pad if you want to use the AIO in the process, but I see no need.
