Just trying to figure out if I need to wash after using the Menzerna Twins. Just did my Black Vehicle with a PC and will be appling Zaino by hand to the finish. Did not know if I needed to do a Dawn wash or can I just apply the Zaino over the Menzeran FP? Thanks for the help...

If you used the 50/50 water alcohol spray after FP, I would not bother with the wash. Otherwise, I would wash it just to be sure .

Ramhunter 24, from the Autopia store:

"Menzerna Intensive Polish is unique because it actually removes swirls, like a compound, yet it minimizes or eliminates haze, like a polish. Unlike domestic compounds and polishes, Intensive Polish is water-based. It does contain a petroleum distillate but it`s a lubricant, not a solvent. It will not soften or affect the curing of fresh paint. Also unique is the fact that it contains no fillers of any kind. In fact, it contains no fillers, no glaze, no wax and no silicones!"

Final polish is water based as well

I`ve found that after using the Menzerna Twins that your paint is ready for whatever you want to put on it next, including a last step product with no need for an intermediate wash.

Specially if you use Z1 prior to Z2/Z5.

I use the Menzerna twins along with Zaino .. and unless your doing the menzerna one day and the Zaino the next no need to wash.. BUT just to make sure I usually spritz the surfaces down with 50/50 IA/Water then Zaino it.

The Z1 he is refering to is the Zaino base used if you don`t use the ZFX in the Z5 or Z2 ..

Even if you`re going to use ZFX, when starting with Zaino it`s always best to prepare the surface prior with Z1 (Zaino Z1). Apply it, follow it with the next step(s). Doing so, maybe you`re replacing the wash/alcool proccess after Menzernas polishes

    I heard ZFX FULLY replaces Z1. I wouldn`t bother.

Thats what I thought too according to the Zaino info if you use ZFX on the first layer Z1 is redundant then you can actually use Z2 or Z5 on hier own if you don`t mind the dry times.

I`ve just been hitting it with QD, mainly to make the more stubborn areas easier to remove. From there I usually just got straight to AIO.
