Just saw it for the 1st time in Halfords at the weekend - wax, wash & wax shampoo and "pressure washer shampoo" - cheap & cheerful was my thoughts and no I`ve not bothered buying any....yet but I rarely buy much in Halfords anyway unless I run out of AG

No, never heard of it - if it`s in Halfords then it won`t be of the same quality of some of the products you can purchase from Mr Creasey at `seriousperformance`.

As Andy said, AutoGlym products are about the only thing I`d purchase from Halfords - and that would be if I was desperate!

No,never heard of it,from the discriptions by the other posters who have seen it, sounds a little `home shopping channel` to me if I may be so judgemental,IMHO the Products available of in the States are always Years ahead of GB,IE:Meguires only started selling a very limited product range over here late last Year.

Sorry to disagree Mr C, I have bought Megs in the UK for the past 2 years or so from a couple of sources, but I do agree we are backward when it comes to our own products

    ~One mans opinion / observation~

I’ve never tried Nielsen’s products; it would seem there niche would be a car wash type operative. If you do try them and have success with their products let us know.

Mr Concourse - “IMHO the Products available of in the States are always Years ahead of GBâ€.I would agree the way products are used in US are but Klasse, Autoglym and 3M products have been available since the ‘60s, and recently Megs are getting into the European markets. The Internet has opened the automotive detailing product market, making it available to everyone, admittedly at a price (S&H) though.

I think that the general concept of detailing is more advanced in the USA than the UK. If we broaden out the UK to include Europe, there are a lot of products which are exported to the States. The products discussed here are niche products and I am not sure if one place has better products than some where else. This might also be exaggerated by the style and population of Autopia which is mainly Amercian.

My guess is that for the mass markets there is little difference between the UK & USA.

That`s a fair point but TBH I`d still say that the USA has better "consumer" ranges available when compared purely to what we can buy from Halfords, or indeed many other car spares type outlets.

I`d be surprised if we could get more than 25 waxes as "general public" as opposed to being Autopians with the huge variety of products which we can buy here or indeed elsewhere.

If you`re including 3M, Megs UK, Mothers UK and so on then yes we definitely have a wide choice but overall I`d still say that you get more choice at an auto factor in the USA than here.

Other than that, I`d certainly agree that we`re a little way behind the USA in terms of our approach to detailing but it`s a growth industry over here for sure.

There are 5 times more people in the US to sell to, that probably makes a difference.
