Hi all. I`ve got a bit of a unique problem on my 3000GT... Mitsubishi used a plastic panel on the b-pillars which fades badly over the years. I am able to polish is to a beautiful mirror shine using the meguires 3-step system, but within a couple months, the panels are a dull lifeless black again.

Any suggestions on how to polish and protect these panels?

I just always polish them back when they fade again...curious to see if there is something to keep it that way.

I wonder if the Klasse Twins or Zaino would work on them?

My girlfriend`s Pathfinder has somewhat of the same problem. Her bumpers and some trim are painted in a like a semi-gloss black form and dull easily. I have had success with claying, polishing with Meguiar`s #82 SFP, then Klasse AIO/SG. It brings a nice shine right up (nothing like a painted/cleared finish, but certainly something acceptable). Not to mention Klasse lasts a long while, so the look stays.

If the plastic is not porous, you can use Klasse on it and expect a long lasting affect out of it.

Thanks! I`ll have to give the Klasse a try and see how that holds up.

The best thing I have found on the black trim on my Tacoma is Zaino. That seems to be the only thing that will hold up.

I`ve used AIO/SG on that sort of surface, but I usually prefer AIO/P UPP or BFII.
