I ordered Automotive Detailing and Haynes Detailing Manual from the Autopia Book Store. Looks like they`ll be good reads. And it helps to support Autopia!

While these might be good begninner tutorials, from the ones I looked at were very outdated with techniques and especially products.
I found the same thing as Greg did. I have opened a few to find the guys in the pictures looking like they were out of some 70`s porno. The information, techniques, and products were all very old.
Let us know how those are though.
I`ve had a copy of "Ultimate Auto Detailing" by David Jacobs for many years and found it to be an excellent if dated book. It`s very good for the novice who is struggling with processes and procedures.
As for products, there are many used in those books which are used today. Obviously the industry has expanded greatly and technology has changed, but the way you detail a car hasn`t changed alot in the 25+ years I`ve been doing it. Cars and cars. Paint is paint. Its just car detailing, not rocket science.
I think you`ll enjoy the books.
There are only three things you need to know about me. Gloss, Gloss, GLOSS!!
