I recieved my order of pads from TOL a while ago, but my car is away for the winter, so I haven`t really gotten a chance to use them much. So in the mean time, I`ve been polking and prodding the pads, just dreaming about using them. It seems to me that the original Porter Cable pad is more firm [which means more cut] than even the cutting pad in the Lake Country or Buff & Shine 6" set.

Any thoughts on this? I`d be surprised if they shipped the machine with a cutting pad, but I suppose this is the pad that would bring about the most improvement in most surfaces.

The original PC pad seems more firm because they are thicker than the LC. Nevertheless, they are about the same.
