I was going to order my first set of PC pads from Top of the Line, and wanted to take advantage of their deal if you buy 6. Originally, I was thinking I wanted 2 cutting, 2 polishing, and 1 finishing. If I`m going to get a 6th pad, would you recommend an extra polishing pad? It sounds like that`s what people use a little more often, but I`m not sure.

    Thanks!

Funny, just the opposite for me. Nearly every car I do, I wind up starting with a TOL cutting pad and DACP. The last car I can remember using a TOL polish pad was with Meguiars Speed Glaze on a nicely maintained black Audi A4.

But, it depends on your work load if you are detailing other cars for money.

If it`s just for your own car, I assume it is in good shape and you should stick with a polish pad.

Sounds great. I`m not doing this professionally, just as a hobby on my cars and friends, so i`ll probably go with the extra polishing pad.

    Thanks for the help.
