Detailed my Intrepid this weekend and I`ve found a good solution that works for me when cleaning windows. I used the Einzett window cleaner with a Viper Cleaning cloth. I then went over the windows with a 3M detailing cloth (dry) and the windows are absolutely streak free and clear.

I starting to really love those 3M cloths..

We have been using that method for a while now .. First clean with a window cleaner and paper towel then thereafter just use a damp MF to wipe down followed immediatly by a dry MF. Ironically the best towel I found for this is the Turtle Wax MF cheapo towels. I have a few if these towels and they aren`t good for much else but great for this. I keep one in the door pocket for dash wiping at stop lights. They pick up dash dust well too

I like that Viper MF too. Most of the time for me, I just dampen it on one side, wipe, and buff and dry with the other.:up The only window cleaning solution I have now, I might use occasionally is a vinegar based cleaner .

I have the shiny MF made for cleaning windows from microfibertech and it`s too grippy to clean windows, it tends to grip the glass too much and I end up fingering my glass And it leaves these tiny MF particles and when the sun hits it, it reflects...it`s just terrible and yes I washed it 3 times by itself.

I have a 2 PakShak MF in my center console. 1 for inside glass and 1 for the dash. :p

I use the Viper MF for the inside glass only. Also use PakShak MFs inside with EF glass cleaner.

Use Stoner Invible glass for the outside with newspaper. That stuff cuts through the road grime really well.

    I keep 8 - 16" x 16" micro fiber towels in my 4Runner.

    2 for exterior windows

    1 for interior windows

    1 for dash

4 for quick detailing (Meguiars FD and Poorboys S&W)

You can`t have enough MF towels.

I use Stoners Invisi Glass on mine. Spray and wipe on one side with MF and immediately wipe off with the other. I usually keep at least one MF on each door and I keep a box with 6-8 MF in the glove box with a detailing spray. You never know when you will have the URGE to clean your car.

Hey, glad I`m not the only one!

I keep a terry towel and 2 or 3 MF`s in the car always, plus a bottle of Quik Wax, bottle of QS and various old towels for bird bomb removal.

It`s heartwarming to see the new breed of Autopians following the same principles as the old-timers...without even being told to do so!

BTW, I`ve found that waffle-weave works best for me on windows...especially when doing the interior.... no lint & no grab!

Haha....So did I. And was gonna post "I thought I was..."

then saw your post, and another....haha.

Good, I don`t feel so bad now

The best part is the way ppl look at you when you`re doing it. I try to do it next to those ppl with like 1/16" of smoke and dirt on their windows, rub it in a little bit!
