Is there any QD besides Quikshine that can be used on windows?

Why couldn`t any qd be used on the windows? If the carnauba layer streaking is your concern, then I`ll bet that it will be so small you won`t notice...I bet it actually just filles in the pores, not forms a coat.
    Yes, it floats my boat.

I Z2 the Jag windows, Klasse SG the Benz windows. So now I just use water and a MF to keep `em sparkling.

I used to use Zymol cleaner wax on my windows and it worked fine. The water would beed and fly off at speed. Why not use rainX it works much better.

Wasn`t worried about carnuba. I was thinking you probably couldn`t use a QD with silcone, e.g. FD. Probably can use FI successfully though. Not sure ... haven`t tried it.

Why would silicone be a problem on the windows?? (Assuming you`re talking about today`s "good" silicones.) Do you have any protectant on the windows now?

    Hi, Lynn

Not sure silcone, eg. FD, would be a problem. Thought maybe it would smear on windows.

I never considered QDing windows before until I read ScottWax`s comment on using QuikShine on windows.

I have used FD on glass. No Smearing. One would think so with its silicone content, but it doesn`t. It does add a sparkle and slickness to the glass. :xyxthumbs

I use Quik Shine on my windows all the time. They get a nice sparkle and shine to them that way.

I have used Z6, EO Wet Wipe`n`Shine, and Meg`s QD on windows, inside and out.

It works as well as any glass cleaner if used with a good quality MF towel.

For inside glass, I just mist the MF with QD and wipe it down. No streaks ever.

I also use water and a MF for interior glass.

QS is the best but I also use Poorboy`s Spray and Wipe. I keep a 50/50 mix of QS and S&W in my trunk for bird bombs and touch-up work.
