With winter coming, what`s wrong with just waxing/washing the car outdoors? Sure, it`s cold and hard, but unless the water freezes to the car, what`s wrong? Sorry, I can`t figure it out.

Well, nothing is wrong with washing your car outside as long as you`re comfy.

Waxing is a different story as most waxes and sealants will not work properly in cold temps. About the lowest you can go is 40F or so, depending on the product. If you can park your car indoors where its warm, you can wax as normal.

When I lived in Chicago I`d hand wash my car at the DIY joints on a fairly warm day (like, in the 40`s), then drive it back to my apt bldg which had heated parking. I`d QD then wax. No problem.

I`m interested in using my qew this winter. I`d recommend it because it can be used year round as its principal advantage is a fast wash--still using water. Also want to try it in a spray bottle as a sort of spray and wipe product for small touch up spots before an entire wash is needed again.
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
