    Hi guys,

I just received my new Skyline R34 GTR from Japan and i have noticed before and after washing it, that water markes are on the bodywork. From the looks of things, they are real deep in the top coat. I have tried Meg Deep coat body scrub but it does nothing.

Is there any way of removing them????

I have just bought the following kit,

    Liquid Souveran Wax

    Menzerna Intensive Polish 16 oz

    Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection

    Menzerna Final Polish

    Meguiar`s #7 Show Car Glaze

    Porter Cable 7424

Porter Cable Accessory Kit W/ Backing plate

    Micro Kit of 5 Towels

    Pinnacle Polt-Clay Kit

What should i use from the kit above to make the finish like new???

    Many thanks

    Gerry

Clay first then PC & IP and if that doesn`t get rid of the marks, PC and DACP

It has roughly 100+ topics that only discuss water spots. You`ll be thinking about water spots in your sleep after you read all of that.

You got a great car! I have had water spots removed using Menzerna IP with a yellow CMA/Country lake pads with a PC setting of 5. But really depends on how deeply it is etched into the paint. From my experience, with continous detailing overtime, the water spots eventually disappears. There is the Menzerna Power Gloss which I have used with success but a note there says that it will abrade down some of your clear coat. Here is a balance between having a clearcoat for protection OR a perfectly looking paint. What is good about Menzerna is you will see if you still have scratches, swirls, or imperfections after buffing, it does not hide these things. No fillers just polish and is a good one at that.

Just out of interest, did you order the Menzerna and Meguiars from the States. Your shopping list must have cost of fortune. Dont forget to do some before and after pics.

    Hi Lowjackson,

All Menzerna stuff Pinnacle etc was from states. All Megs stuff from UK.

All the kit is taking its time in arriving into the UK. ITs been 2weeks now since it left Classisc Motoring so its probably in customs. As soon as its arriving im gonna get stuck in and make the Skyline really shine.

    Cheers

Tried vinegar but it doesnt work. The acid rain has etched into the clear coat so it will prbably require the yellow cutting pad and intensive polish im waitting for.

    Cheers
