I have heard that P21S and S100 paste wax are essentially the same products. Here is what someone said on another forum which I dont believe to be true. I know they are marketed to different consumers (motorcycles and autos), but to have different amounts of carnuaba and gas resistence??!! Opinions please....

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I`m not trying to put down the S100, it is a good wax for motorcycles,

but I have to say it`s not the exact same thing. I`ve spoken to one of the guys who was involved in the development of the p21S wax and it is not the same as S100

First of all S100 was designed for:

    -Motorcycles

    -Curved surfaces (less reflective)

    -more gasoline resistance (motorcycle specific)

-contains LESS carnuaba (therefore less depth of shine)

    P21S has (is):

    -designed for automobiles

    -more Carnauba, therefore more reflective

    -designed for flatter surfaces

Take it for what it`s worth, but there is a distinction and I don`t want to misinform anyone.

I would like to see a side by side comparison of S100 and P21S to back up some of those claims regarding how reflective it is and the amout of carnuaba

They can say what they want.... In the end I think it comes down to the fact that nobody can tell the difference once you put it on your car. Lasts the same, beads the same, rinses the same, applies the same..... If nobody can tell the difference then I don`t see how it matters that they say they really are different. The only difference I can see is that S100 is more yellow and 10 bucks cheaper.

There are several people who have tested both of them together. None of them have ever found a difference.

Only difference I found is the S100 seems to be softer in the jar making it easy to use more product hence less wax applications per jar.
