Today I washed and waxed the car. Before waxing I tried E1 on the front quarter panel and a small section of the hood. I just bought this and thought I would give it a try to try and remove some of the swirls on the car. I bought the green bottle E1 which is somewhat abrasive. My car is 2 years old (15K miles) and has an excellent finish but does have a few swirls here and there. I tried working e1 into the paint after the wash and it left very fine swirls. I tried rubbing harder and it just left more. I dont know what I could have been doing wrong. Could it have been the heat? Do I need a PC to apply this?

what kind of towel did you use? Sounds like you used non 100% cotton/Microfiber.

Do a burn test on the towel. If it turns to ash it is cotton, if not then that`s the ulprit.

*** ooo yeah... almost forgot... more pressure is not always better.

I was using microfiber towels that I bought from Pakshak. I have used them with aio and sg and have not had any problems in the past. The towels were cleaned with liquid detergent.

last q, did you follow the directions EXACTLY. I mean, buff the polish to the extent it said to buff it?

The polish may break down as it is buffed, and take smaller and smaller bites of the clear until it take almost none.

Im pretty sure I used the product correctly. The only thing I did against the instructions is use it in the sun. I guess I will have to give it another shot when I get back home next weekend.

If anyone has any comments please share.
