I got a minivan that had food spilled into the carpet...it sat unnoticed for a few months and there is a slightly pungent odor in the vehicle. I shampooed all the carpet (with extractor) and used febreeze on everything but the smell is still there. I think perhaps it got into the carpet pad. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I use a `system` wich is not readily available. But wonderfully successful.

ValuGard/Autoint`s Odor Terminator via my extactor, and via spray bottle on headliners, underseats, etc.

That usually does the trick, but, I LOVE C.O.C. from Bridgepoint. It is a charcoal based deoderant with a cherrywood scent (gone in 24 hours)...

    Tremendous results...
