Don`t mean to hijack this thread, but who else finds it interesting that the list puts FI2 as less abrasive than 3M SMR? This seems contrary to most Autopian beliefs.

I agree. I`m quite sure that FI2 is more aggresive than SMR.

Yeah, this is a nice list that resurfaces every other week or so. Although some changes have to be made for accuracy, it is a decent starting place to work from.

Is 3M FI-II MP really less abrassive then the polish that comes with Blackfire? I find Blackfire`s polish to be really uhm, light.

When the list was compiled, it seems that names got more weight than they should. You`ll notice a couple glazes that are in the wrong position (3M`s for example), and likewise a couple polishes that need to be rearranged....but you have to start somewhere...at least this list gets them in some sort of order, albeit not always accurate.

    Hi there,

Can you use the Porter Cable to apply the more aggressive compounds or do you need a rotary?

    Thanks,

Fantastic chart, just answered all my question in one go, well nearly.

I got a freebie with my PC; Sonus Paintwork Cleanser. Where would this come in the table.

    Thanks

Here`s the link you might be talking about. Question for all of you: Do you think RMG would be a 1 or 2 on this chart?
