What should I use on powder-coated wheel spokes? The same products as used on aluminum? chrome? Car paint?

They clean up nicely with anything I use, but I`d like to put some type of protectant or wax on them in hopes that the brake dust may not stick so well.

zenhog, I`m on shaky ground here. But I think I`m hearing that wax on wheels is a bad idea, because wheels get so hot that the wax melts and actually collects dirt, brake dust, etc. So a sealant is the better way to go. I can`t remember: Are you already using Z, Klasse, or some other sealant? (If you need a little Z just for this application, we might be able to arrange something tomorrow. )

Have you tried doing a search: maybe on "wheel + wax" and "wheel + seal*"? You might turn up some good stuff, while other Autopians are out partying, going to bed, or whatever they`re up to tonight.

Treat powder coat the same as paint. It`s actually harder than most auto finishes, but treat as normal paint and you will be fine. Use a polymer sealant to protect.

I use the Clearkote wheel polish. It seems to work well. I notice that the wheels on my Grand Cherokee stays clean longer and rinse off easier. I have been using it for the past two months and it is still working...Andrew

I`m using Klasse AIO on the car tomorrow, would that be what I hear should go on the wheels? If Clearkote wheel polish is quite different from AIO that would be good to know, maybe to understand what it has that might make the difference.
