I tried to do a search but there were no results!

I guess the scratch occurred when I was parking on a side street. I got too close to the curb and scratched one of the rims up. The scratch goes nearly all the way around the wheel, and is pretty deep.

What`s the best way to remove the scratch?

If it`s that big and bad, you`re probably better off sending the wheel out for repair.

It runs about $100 to refinish a wheel. Do a search for wheel repair.

Is there anything I can try first before sending it to a shop to be refinished?

If it were me, I would send it out. My local autotire store takes care of this type of thing. I saw a guy bring in a Z06 wheel that was heavily damaged....just so happened to see the same wheel a week later and it was perfect.

I believe the wheels get machined and each wheel`s deminsions are loaded into the computer, very slick setup and works very well.
