The bike is and 80’s Honda not sure which model but I offered to get it cleaned up for a friend. The paint is in pretty bad shape and the engine case and chrome leave a lot to be desired as well. I plan to hit the paint with DACP with a PC and the chrome with some SOS pads (maybe the triple tree’s as well?). The engine case bothers me though what should I use? I already hit it with some S100 but it still looks pretty rough is it possible to use the PC with some SMR or DACP on the black parts? Also, A2Z said not to use it on motorcycle tires but to clean them and the wheels I cant thank of anything better and what about A2Z on the engine case?

Well for Engine Case Simple Green or Dilute Eimann Fabrik Hi-Intensity Cleaner I used Simple Green on the engine compartment and made these black alumnium parts shine really nice you can use DACP on the tank and on the black parts as long as there nice and clean looks like a nice bike when you clean it up.

S100 makes a complete line of motorcycle care products. Many of them specifically for just the problems the bike in your pictures has. I`ve never used them, but if they are as good as the S100 paste wax, they just might be your answer.

Try the Mother`s Chrome polish on the pipes and other stainless parts. Simple Green for the other parts and get in there with a brush to agitate. The wheels can be cleaned really well with WD 40 for the brake dust and chain lube (but keep it off the tires). Your plan with the the DACP sounds good. Keep the SOS off the triple tree. It`ll scratch the crap out of it and make it look worse. Try Mother`s aluminum polish on it.

I am beginning to think this bike may not get back to where I would like it to be. The engine case is a PITA and the chrome is in OK shape but has certainly seen better days. I did the following, wash bike with Meg’s deep crystal cleaned up the fender, pipes, rear springs with a #000 SOS pad, polished the tank and rear fender with DACP followed by SMR, then AIO topped with S100. finished up the chrome with Never Dull and tried back to black with horrible results I ordered some Forever black which I hope helps somewhat. He is replacing the seat so I did nothing to that or the sissy bar.

Looks like you made great progress. A neglected 20 yr old bike will never look like new again unless parts are disassembled and restored. Looks like you did the best you could.
There are only three things you need to know about me. Gloss, Gloss, GLOSS!!
