I love it and the velcro backing plate to. It sticks to the pads so nicely.

I was just wondering if the spinning action acts as a circular polisher and mess up the paint if not careful?

PS. In the bag with the instructions and the wrench to take off backing plate there is this thick grey washer (plastic?) and I`m not sure what it`s for and I checked directions and all.

It goes on the backing plate when you screw it onto the PC 7424

Check out my thread for info on the "mysterious washer", but yes, it goes on the screw-on pad or backing plate.

No, the spinning action won`t hurt anything. This motion seems to be a byproduct and it doesn`t spin very fast as you press down on the paint. I hope you`re not running it no-load by the way.

Actually, I`m not sure if that is correct.

On my 7336, there is a black washer already installed on the backing plate. In addition, there was a grey washer in the bag with the wrench.

I don`t think both washers go on the backing plate, but I could be wrong...

One might be just extra. I had my washer already installed on the backing plate, but didn`t have one in the bag, and someone else had only the washer in the bag..... It`s weird. :p

Maybe, but the washers are a different size. Maybe I`ll try to take a photo if I get a chance tonight.

Infamous, do you have the washer installed on the backing plate? I`ve noticed that without the washer it can get leave little room sometimes. Might have to leave it that way or take it to a service center? I dunno.
