I also have a question. Whenever I use wax or polish I put it on by hand and take it off with my PC on a very low setting. Well, while I am doing that I get a lot of dust from the wax or polish. Am I using too much? I usually put it on til it lightly hazes. I try to not cake it on.

The dust is from fillers in the wax. Using waxes that don`t have a lot of fillers will cut down on the dust. Or better yet, upgrade to a paste wax like one of the Pinnacle waxes or S100/P21S and you won`t get any dust.

Maybe the PC is causing the dust to be more apparent because of the way it "jiggles". Maybe it`s vibrating all the dust out of the pad/bonnet/whatever. Do you get dust (or as much) if you buff by hand? Most people still do it that way.

What wax is this? As said, some simply dust more than others.
