Here`s a pic of the mark it left after I wiped off the crap! I can`t remove it with QD either. I have 2 coats of SG on top of 4 coats of UPP.

It may just be the protectants that got etched, not the paint

    Holy cow that`s nasty!!!!!

Time to bust out the polishes (FI2, SMR, DACP, whatever ya got). Get that stuff off ASAP and rewax.
There are only three things you need to know about me. Gloss, Gloss, GLOSS!!

Blackmirror- Yeah, what Bretfraz said. You MIGHT get lucky, as aiiee said, but the longer you wait the less chance it`ll turn out OK. I have bird-spots on single stage that will only come out with a repaint. This will be a (literal) acid test of the protective qualities of PUPP and SG. Good luck, hope you still have plenty of paint to work with.

Blackmirror, I`m on the same boat as you are. I`m gonna try to clean the area up this weekend and slap on some SMR and see if it works.

Questions, do I have to SG after SMR?? I`m only gonna do that spot. What do you guys think??

I had a birb bomb last summer that hit the hood of the black car, was only there for ~3 hours, max..

Etched the paint. I`ve tried everything to get it off, no dice. Those dman things are potent! Happened in jersey as well..

    Get it off quick!

I`ll try some AIO on the spot and see what happens.

Can you scratch if off with your fingernail?

I`ve noticed, mainly with Klasse SG, that bird poop can bake onto it so it doesn`t fully remove during the wash process. It`ll leave a residue similar to what you have but it will not have actually etched the surface. You`ll have to treat it and let it soak with something like a Quick Detailer (Eagle one and Poorboy`s Work well for this) or Valugard`s Omni All Purpose.

Haven`t posted back in awhile. I couldn`t scratch it off. QD didn`t even work. What worked was AIO. Then I SGed again.
