I would be curious for you to try SEPC and then s100 and just see if it makes any different. See if it proves my theory that it helps to stick with the same brand for a cleaner and wax.

Maybe just one section of your hood you do the full s100 setup.

You`ve gotten this far, might as well try it! :xyxthumbs

Final Polish (car polishes product) topped with S100 might be the answer. Final Polish is a polymer that lasts (according to the manufacturer) for 6 months. I find the Final Polish/S100 combo is as visually appealing as VM/S100 but should last longer.

Is it remotely possible that the FI removes some of the wax?

As I said before, I really love Meg`s #20 topped with S100!! It gives me the protection and the depth/gloss. I have no problem at all with water beading.

Here is a pic I just did today. This is #20 with S100 as a topper.

    Hey Aurorav8,

I just think your stepped up your level of perfection. You are noticing more what has always happened but you didn`t actually notice.

I am crazy about the slickness of the car. Nothing lasts past one wash. NOTHING. So to retain the slickness, I just apply another coat of Pinnacle Souveran after every wash.

I have the AIO and a million coats of SG, but it still requires another coat of PS to restore the slikness. The look never changes, its always 1st class, and it always beads. But I agree, the slickness degrades after every wash. So I replentish it with another coat. I believe its the only way. It doesn`t take long to apply the PS. It just glides on, and wipes straight off.

    Aurora,

Rub a section down with a 50/50 mix of isopropyl and water to strip it all, and then apply the s100 straight to the paint. Recently I`ve been having problems with everything on my car. BF2 streaked like crazy, and s100 did just as you described.:nixweiss So, I went over a few areas last night with the 50/50 mix and applied BF2 straight to the paint. As miracle would have it, it didn`t streak and it`s beading like crazy(Maybe I need to start a new thread for the people having problems with BF2). It seems with my layer of BF s100 just wouldn`t stick around on the paint... Try it and see if you get the same results with s100. My car is finally beading water again...

I think I`m going to experiment with what I have. Do half the hood with VM and S100, then QD with Mothers Showtime. The other half I`m either going to go with straight S100, and QD with Mothers, or do the S100 and VM and try the Final Inspection to see if that half fails because of the QD...I will post results over the weekend.

Even Z needs a QD with Z8 every wash to maintain the slickness. `But its a labour of love.`

Just for kicks I looked over all three pages of this thread, which I`d somehow missed the first time around (circa 2003).` Heh heh, there`s a fair bit of stuff in it that, uhm, `makes me`go "hmmmmm..."

    `

But then, for starters, I was never a big fan of S100/P21s (nor their GEPC)`anyhow..

    `

I do miss some of the people who posted on it though.
