I have read over the articles for a couple of days now and am still a little confused. I was wondering what a good starting point would be to start my detailing as far as supplies. Does everyone have basic supplies they use? I was wanting to try out Zaino but did not know if it was necessary to spend that much money. Can anyone supply me with a list of products that I might try out from the start to finish of detailing my car? Thanks.

I would move this into the university but... I wont mention any brands because its all preference. Since you have a new car (from your sig), you probably wont need any aggressive products.

    Car wash soap

    Chenile pads

    Drying towel

    Clay bar

    Exterior dressing

    Glaze

    Wax

    Tire cleaner

    Wheel cleaner

    Interior dressing

Thats all I can think of.

I agree that it is all preference...however... an excellent kit that I just recently (today) ran across is this...http://autopia-carcare.com/aupeshkit.html...a few members on this board use similar if not the same products in their artillery...it contains alot of the favorite/basic products
