    I`m not sure there is a big performance difference between the two, but Tarminator has a sickening orange smell to it. I think they put it in there to try and cover up the solvent odor, but to me it just makes things worse. I tried one can of Tarminator, but came back to 3M.

    IMO kerosene will work as well as any dedicated tar removers - and a lot less expensive.
