PC Buffing pads and speeds to run vs polish/glaze

I know there is no sure way to use the PC as every person here uses their own products and pads, on different cars, with different results. But I’d like to gather some info from everyone here as to what good experiences or results you’ve gotten from different combo’s.



For me, I’ve got the Yellow, white, and gray CMA pads. Not sure what speeds to run them at vs different products. I use FI-II, SMR, and IHG, the VM and MW.



What speed should I run the yellow pad at with FI-II and SMR?

What speed should I run the white pad with SMR and VM?

What speed should I run the gray pad with VM and MW?



Also, how long should I buff the contact surface for, say 6 sweeps back and forth, about a 1ft long, for 5 seconds each direction???
