I was wondering, if there is any product, besides rubbing alcohol, that can remove zaino? I want to start the process over. I don`t feel I clayed and polished as well as I could have. Is there any polish, or product that I could get at a local auto store? Thanks In advance.

If you don’t want to use isopropyl alcohol the polish should take care of it.

Two potential problems - - and I don’t know the solutions other that a good wipe down with alcohol.

    1) The Zaino may be holding embedded debris to the paint and the clay may not be able to pick it up. :nixweiss

    2) Polishing may flatten the embedded debris so that nothing can get it out of the paint. :nixweiss

GRR...good point. Where would I get some Isopropyl Alcohol, or enough to do an entire car, and how much would it cost? Thanks again guys.

Just go to any drug store or grocery store. It’s the kinda alcohol that you put on a cut or scrape, it’s like $.40-1.00 for a pint.

A couple of months ago I did an annual ground up detailing on my roadster with maybe 12-15 coats of Zaino on it. I mixed 99% isopropyl alcohol 50/50 with distilled water in a spray bottle, misted one section at a time and rubbed it down with a microfiber towel. Continued misting and buffing until it didn’t haze. Most areas required only two mistings. I probably used a pint and a half of alcohol for the entire car. I still have the unfinished 16 oz. bottle and its price label says $1.69.

I did use a lot of MF towels though - - didn`t want to be reapplying the picked up Zaino to the next area.
