EF HI On Polished Alum. Rims...Safe?

A friend of mine is looking for a safe wheel cleaner for his polished alum. rims. My first thought had been EF HI (possibly diluted).

Does anyone know if the use of EF HI will cause cloudiness on polished alum., or is it a safe bet?

It is a safe bet. EF HI is non-acidic. However, you might want to let him know not to leave it on the wheels too long if it is full strength.

You can dillute it 1:1 ratio with water for general wheel cleaning.

Full strength is awesome for tire cleaning.

Okay, thanks guys. I wanted to be certain before I made such a recommendation. All of the rims that I work on are clear coated, I`ve not tried to remove brake dust from polished alum. I purchased a spray bottle so that I could pour some of my EF HI into it for him to try. I buy it by the gallon because it is so handy/efficient as a tire cleaner.

Hopefully he will like it as much as I do.
