Thread: PC On Bumpers

    Ok a couple days ago i was polishing my car with 3m SMR w/ my PC, and i was on my rear bumper when a friend of mine pulled up and said, damn you putting another coat of wax on your car, i replyed, nope, taking them all off, i`m polishing, he said, dude, your not suppost to polish ABC plastic bumpers, or plastic mirrors, i was under the impresstion that i could polish anything with paint and clearcoat, i`ve done my bumpers before with no problem, any info will help. thanks, bye

    blacksi2002- Not sure what your friend is thinking..yes, you can polish/wax/seal/whatever anything with paint/paint+clear. The plastic composition of the underlying material won`t make a difference, and I`ve yet to have the flex additive on some such panels matter either.

    He is probably thinking of the non painted bumpers. Those are the kind that stain when you get waxes and polishes on them. You can polish and wax anything with paint on it.
