What do you guys use for your wood grain trim on the interior? I`m doing the dash, doors etc... with 303. The wood is protected by a layer of clear acrylic or something. I have Meguiar`s plastic polish for my head and tail lights. Can I use this? Thanks.

On my car (Lexus) I use good old Lemon Pledge, as suggested here.

My guess, however, is that what you use should depend on whether the wood trim is real wood or fake wood. I would not use a plastic polish on real wood, as it might take off the coating (laquer?) and cause harm. If it`s fake plastic wood, you will have a lot more options, I would think.

In either case, Pledge won`t hurt it.

Spilchy- For real wood, I just treat it like (fine) furniture. Straight/non-cleaner wax. Maybe a little GEPC or something similar if it needs cleaned up first. I`d probably just wax the plastic stuff too, with something that won`t cause "white staining".

Wood trim typically is encoated in an acrylic clear plastic. I wouldn`t use pledge as it attracts dust like a magnet. I typically wiipe it down with a damp MF towel, and finish up with some quick detailer.....

I wipe down with a damp MF and then add a thin coat of either #26 or P21s. It really makes the wood look great. Very reflective. :xyxthumbs
