I`ve never had somone come to me with this problem..

I have somone with a non-clearcoated black car which is dulled. Anyone have any ideas on how to restore it?

Took the words out of my mouth. It`s all the same. If memory serves, no Miata before 1999 was clearcoated.

No clearcoat still looks great when done right, but knowing there`s no clearcoat will put the fear into you. I drove with no wax at all one day after claying recently. I was afraid some bird would poop on it or a leaf would scratch it or something.

Post pics if possible, since most people here hear non-clearcoated and think I`m driving a paper bag or something.

My car is non-clearcoated black. You WILL have black towels and applicators from the paint rubbing off but there`s really nothing to worry about.
