This is a couple of posts at another forum. Anyone heard or used this product? Just curious. I did do a search and didn`t really find anything on this product in Autopia.

    Turtlewax Tirewax is good stuff!

This stuff goes on your tires with a spunge. There is no worry of overspray and it seems to last a lot longer. I also used this on all of my black trim and BOY does it make a difference. Shiny black color and very smooooth on the black pieces. Makes the L stand out real well.

    just a FYI.....

(No... I don`t work for turtlewax! he he he)

Works great for me too. Does not "sling off". It`s about the consistancy of a heavy liquid soap, so you can rub it in and not have the problem of it slinging off on to your wheels.

I beleive at one point I had asked some people in chat about this and was told the gel was definitely better.

But, I ran a search and I knew I had read a thread about this at some time! Here:

Tw Tire Wax... You Guys Really Like This Stuff?

    and

    http://www.autopia.org/forums/search...der=descending

It seems that some people like it, and some people don`t. I went with the gel simply because I figured it was like the paste wax vs. liquid wax argument and the gel would last longer, but I don`t know because I haven`t compared.

Sometimes you gotta get creative with the search engine. I looked for "tire" and "wax" separately in a title search.

Yes, that was my original thread, and no, I have not picked up that bottle of TW Tire Wax again.

For those that like it, that`s great, it just isn`t what I had in mind.

I also picked up a bottle (really comes in a box with a cheap sponge) at a Kmart that was closing in the area when I was shopping around for the TW tire "gel". I`ve used it a couple of times since and it worked ok, just doesn`t last as long for a gel. It was sort of watery and went on very uneven and inconsistant. I really was not impressed by it and I gave it away after I found TW Tire Gel at nearby $ store. Bought all they had for a dollar each (15 botls.)

    Have a great weekend everybody............V
