    And to all who participate.

A while back I was attemting my second go at Zainoing my 00M5, carbon black. After the initial coat, preceeded by 3M SMR, which I did at night under halogen lights, it looked great. The next morning I took it out into direct sunlight and to my dismay it had streaks all over it. Not really swirls but streaks.

I put a panic post on the board and several people responded and suggested I had improperly applied Zaino with either to much Z2 and or not allowing it to dry sufficiently. Then it was suggested to apply more coats using proper amounts and drying times.

Well I`m thrilled to say That after 3 coats the car is absoulutely streakless. I have some very light swirls which is likely left from a rookie prep job (next time I will apply IHG before Z1, Z2) Might also be from poor technique but they are very hard to see and subsequently not bothersome.

I plan to top next week with Pinnacle Souvern Paste wax. This should hide any remaining swirls.

I can`t thank you all enough!

    Happy New Year to all!

What part needs explaining? Do you have photos in digital format? Do you have a digicam? Or are you using film? If you have printed pix, do you have a scanner?
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

Since I don`t use Zaino, I`m not sure, but I don`t think IHG is a good product to use prior to applying Zaino. I think IHG is loaded with fillers and oils which is not a good base for Zaino.

I was concerned too being it has some oils, but I asked a Zaino Zealot and he seems to think it `s ok. However he uses Perfect it hand glaze. According to the 3M site they are equivalent (sp). They will fill swirls which is the point.

Can anyone else chime in here?
