    Hey guys,

Long time no see.. I just replaced the convertible top on the MX5, and went with the Tan Cloth and a glass window...

So how do I take care of it? I have noticed it already go a abit dirty from the installation, and want to keep it as new looking and as healthy as I can.

    Any ideas?

303 has some products specificly for cleaning convertible tops. I`m relatively new to the 303 scene, but from what I`ve seen of them I`d say they make a dang good product. You could probably surf around the different eStores out there and look for the best deal on it. Probably look at the $25 dollar range though.

One of the best cloth top cleaners and protectants I`ve used is Porsche`s. I`ve used it extensively on Porsche and Jaguar ragtops with great success. The protectant beaded well for several months. The cleaner works well and will easily take out most normal dirt and light staining even on light colored fabric using a soft bristled brush. Best of all, it`s not "Porsche-priced"!

A lot of information about convertible tops and their care

The important thing is to make sure the fabric is protected with a sealant. Be it 303, RaggTop or Porsche. This protection will retard penetration of dirt, grease and pollution from getting into the fabric and also prevent mildew.:xyxthumbs :wavey

I have to agree with Brad B. on the Porsche cloth top products. Good stuff. :up It was on his recommendation that I began to use the Porsche cloth top shampoo, and I have no regrets.

A very good product at a reasonable price.
