Many cars have vinyl graphics applied to or on the paint from the factory. I`m wondering how others prep their paint with vinyl graphics installed and what waxes/polishes or care products did you use for the vinyl graphics. The chemicals in some waxes/polishes may discolor the vinyl or cause the edges or corners to lose adhesion and separate. The question came up at another forum. Any suggestions, hints, or experiences?

if the graphics were OEM applied, 9 chances out of 10 that about 99.998% of all products you use on/near them aren`t going to cause any problems. Manufacturers try to make their appliques such as this as durrable as possible so as to minimize warranty claims regarding the graphics and maximize customer satisfaction. Otherwise why put the graphics there in the first place??
