I have finally complete my exterior detailing project on my 1996 Cobra. It is mystic so it shows allll the imperfections in the paint. I mean it is many times harder than my black Z28. But if it hadn`t been for this forum I wouldn`t have known what a PC was or a rotary for that matter. I bought basically all the meguairs stuff and went through the steps. I used claymagic first to clean the paint. I am very happy with the results and will be tackling my Z28 next. It is black but 2 years older and in worse shape. I have uploaded some of my pics I took this evening to the gallery.

That is an awesome color, I have always liked it and you have done an outstanding job of bringing it out. Did you use a PC?:up

First class job :xyxthumbs It does not matter what the product is, what matters is the skill and preperation.

I appreciate everyones comments, it makes it worth spending so many days on it. I took my time on it since I had my 94 Z28 to drive while I was detailing (which is next to be done lol). I did use a PC to do all the buffing/polishing. It took out basically all of the lines in the clearcoat from washing it over the years. I used a WEN rotary on the front bumper to remove any bugs/dirt that the clay couldn`t remove. I took this info off

http://www.mysticcobra.net/whatisit.shtml which describes all the aspects of the car.

It changes from emerald green to violet blue, magenta, burgundy, amber, and a dark brown.

I am starting on my Z28 now and will post some pics when completed with it too.

The wheels are 2000 Chrome Cobra R`s 18x9.5

    The tires are Falken 265x35x18

I just purchased them new about 2 months back, they only have about 600 miles on them. Appearance wise it also has Projector Lights with Euro Clear Corners. Eibach Drag Launch Kit. It has almost every bolt-on minus a blower (which is going to change soon) and I tune it with EEC-Tuner, Offroad X-Pipe w/American Thunder Exhaust. Steeda Triax, 4.30 Gear. It has more but this is getting long lol.

    Thank you,

Nice job! I have seen a few Cobras (and a few other cars) painted that color and it`s still very attention getting. :xyxthumbs

Specifically, which Meguiar`s products did you use for prep and protection?
