Early next year I will be replenishing my detailing supplies.

Up until now, I`ve stuck with Autoglym products, and dabbled with Blitz, IHG, and P21S. In fact my last detail of the year (if the weather lets up), will probably be P21S GEPC, IHG and Turtle Wax Emerald Caranuba (only caranuba avilable locally).

Now that a Meguiars shop has opened in Kildare, it is possible to mailorder and have 24 hour delivery.

From looking at their brochure here is what they recommend.

    Medallion Paint Cleaner

    +

#7 showcar glaze or #9 swirl remover

    +

Medallion Paint Protection or #27 Caranuba

I have no experience with any of these products.

How would they compare to the following steps :

    P21S GEPC

    +

IHG (fill swirls) or #9 swirl remover

    +

    P21S Concours Caranuba

    thanks

All are good i use the paint cleaner and no 9 by both they are good. No 7 is also good, but i find hand polish better. I use both on mine. No 26 Hitech yellow carnba is good, i have the paste version, but it doess not last anywhere as near as long as P21s Concours wax or look as good. I do use it and top it with P21s.

Cleaned the 306 yesterday with a coat of hand polish, a coat of blitz and topped it with P21s, it looked great. I use the no 9 to prep the car before a show, No 26 carnuba is easy on and of but takes a while to haze, i usaully leave it 50 mins to an hour.

Sorry, I`m kinda new to detailing but i`ve been lurking for a while now.

I though that p21s was the same as s100.

And the the durability of s100 was horriable (but the shine was great), I wax expecting along the lines of 2-3 weeks.

Hi-tech wax (#26) on the other hand is a much more duriable wax (think 2-4 months), with a nice shine (but not as good as s100)...... thus I was thinking of topping the #26 with the s100...

Please correct me if I was wrong

From what I understand, the Medallion Paint Cleaner is a bit stronger than the P21S GEPC, so you might want to get that if you think you`ll need to revitalize the finish a bit more. It might even make #9 unnecessary, but I`m not 100% sure about that.

After using either of the paint cleaners or #9, feel free to use the IHG or other glaze over top. I think you`d be happier with either the #26 hi-tech wax or P21S instead of the Medallion Protectant. I think the MPPP isn`t as durable, and both #26 and P21S look good and last quite a while.

Don`t feel limited to following one product line, and go ahead and combine their different products according to your needs.
