My Moms Car!!!

Ok I was trying to wax this car. Its a 89 Benz, It has this I dont know how to say it... Stains... I can`t get them out with water or even with a moist finger... What is this stuff. I was trying to wax it too. But it was impossible. I soaked the car in Dawn soap to get rid of any other coats of who knows what on it. The car is black too.... Is the paint hopeless on this thing? Paint is in good shape no major flaking or oxidation...

Try a clay bar.

Without a hi res pic none of us can say what it is or how to fix it. If it feels rough to the touch then its some kind of surface contaminent and might be removed by clay.



If its something you see but not feel then it might be a stain in the paint or clearcoat. What it is and where it came from is anybody`s guess.



This is probably an area where a polisher and a good polish would help. If you have some kind of paint polish, try some on the spot and see what happens. Make sure you work it in fully so there is almost no haze to wipe off when you`re done.
