I`m looking for a protectant for a new vinyl tonneau cover. I`m not supposed to use petrolium or silicone based products (what`s left?) according to the instructions that came with the cover.

I`ve heard that people use 303 Aerospace Protectant. Is this safe in this application? What other products are there and where can I find them?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I`m not sure of any other non-silicone dressings. I think any waterbased dressing would be fine for the cover as long as it contains safe, non-migratory silicones.

303 would be perfect for this application.

My only problem with 303 is it is a bit on the expensive side. Otherwise, it is one of my favorite dressings.

You need to use a water-based protectant. For something inexpensive, I like Eagle One Interior-Exterior Protectant. Pick it up at any K-Mart.

Apply it with a damp kitchen sponge after cleaning the cover.
