Just purchased a Carbon Black M3. The car is about six months old and has one area about 18 Inches Square with swirl marks along with other minor scratches caused by washings. I have ordered Zaino Z5, Z2, Z6, and ZFX. I was planning on washing the car with Dawn and going to work with the Z5. Question is, should I go over the swirls and scratches with SMR first? If I do, will my old Black and Decker buffer suffice or should I be looking at a new PC? What pads should I use? Is there some other method I should be looking at? Sorry about all the questions in a single post. Thanks.

Yes you will need to use a SMR to remove the swirls, the Z5 will not remove them or cover them up. Is the B&D a rotary or DA?
