    I was going through the detailing articles again and saw in .The Perfect Shine that it state IHG is a polish NOT a glaze.



    If this is true, how come its effects are temporary? A polish should actually help to remove some of the scratches and swirls right not just cover them up

    IHG has some kaolin clay in it that acts like a polish. But its a very fine polish that works with the oils and fillers in the IHG to provide a great shine.



    But there`s not enough clay in it to make a big diff.

    bret is right on, the IHG has no ingredients that are meant for long term protection, whether waxes or polymers... IHG and Meguiar`s #7 are pretty similar and both are pure glazes...
