I`m currently using meguiar`s product (show car glaze and #26 yello wax).... I almost run out of the wax, so I need to get a new one....any recommendation? I like the gloss and shine of #26, but I would love to use different wax if it could give more shine than #26. I don`t care about how long it will last, because I wax my car almost every week......btw, the car is a beige/gold toyota camry, daily driven, parked in a garage....Thanks for the help...

Souveran......it`s the best wax but needs fairly frequent application. About once per month.

There are many choices, depending on if you want to buy locally or internet order. Locally, try Gold Class or Eagle 1 WET. Neither are very durable but offer greater shine. Or, you might look for the Mother`s Reflections product which is synthetic for greater durability. I have not used it though, since it`s nowhere to be found around here. You can take a big step up quality wise, if you internet order. You might look at the best shine for the money, Blitz, or others like P21S, Pinnacle Paste Glaz, etc... Actually, you can find P21S locally, branded under the S100 label at a local Harley dealer or other cycle shops. I was able to get the wax and gloss enhancing cleaner for under the cost of the P21S labled version of wax alone. Exact same product though....

Also, have you considered sealants, like Zaino, Klasse, BF, Platinum, etc...?? They generally offer much more protection than a wax and provide just as good or better shine, but it depends on preference really. Zaino offers the best durability/protection and a very clear, bright, and wet shine. BF and Platinum offer a shine similar to a actual wax, with a little better durability. Klasse is in the middle IMO, of those categories, but definitely better in the durability category than BF/Plat.

    Decisions decisions, happy hunting...

If you wax every week with #26, you`ll love Pinnacle Paste Glaz!

for $35 a can, you can`t go wrong. It`s like less than $1 per application (I cans ee about 35-45 coats on a Camry.)

On top of klasse it looks great. Here is a 1992 Beige Camry with 102K+ on it, done summer of 2001 with Meguiar`s clay, Klasse AIO X1 with PC, Klasse SG X3, Pinnacle Souveran X2, Blitz X1, and Paste Glaze X2. The Klasse was done in one day, then given a week to cure, then Souveran went on the following 2 weeks, then Blitz the next week, followed by Paste Glaze the last two days.

    Here are two pictures

jason: that camry looks so good......is it yours?

so many choices here....I don`t know which one to choose....

I`m also thinking about using the zaino system....will it look good on a light colored car (beige) or I should stay with the meguiar`s product line??

and also, which one is better....#26 yellow wax or the gold class? in term of shine only...

    Thanks

Thanks, as of right now I don`t have a license so driving is not an option, but my parent`s do have a car that just sits in the driveway 6 days out of the week (1991 Corolla with 50K!.) Just need that license to drive it, but too lazy.

In terms of shine only on a non-german car, I would go with Gold Class. Then maybe some #26 over it, or any other non-cleaning carnauba.

I have Zaino and I still use some of Meguiar`s product line. Zaino only makes a polymer sealant for the paint, nothing that removes swirls or other paint imperfections (whoops, they make a clay bar that will remove contaminates but not scratches or swirls.) So Meguiar`s/3M polishes work well for me, but a PIA to use, and I have been leaning towards Valygard polishes lately.

    The choice is yours,

A synthetic polish will look better than a natural wax in a lot of different ways. With the introduction of Platinum and Blackfire we now have synthetic polymer sealants that give us the wet look of a good carnuba but they don`t last a terribly long time. Klasse and Zaino will last longer but will need a carnuba topper to get that glow and wet look that Jason got on that Camry.

On a light colored car just about anything is going to look good. Light colors tend to be a little more selfish with reflections. To get a real good reflection you need to be using some real good stuff. I wasn`t really impressed with the reflection that Klasse gave me but it sure did make my car bright. Platinum and Blackfire give me much much better reflection on my white car and my champange car. I would recommend using one of thoes. I don`t have any experience with Zaino on light colors but I`ve seen pictures and it looks about as good as Klasse from those.

You could probably use Meguiar`s #20 polymer sealant and top it with Meguiar`s Gold Class and get the same effect as using any of the products I`ve mentioned above. Its all a matter of what lasts longer and is opticly pleasing the longest. You can go either way though.

Here are some examples of Blackfire on my Accord. Its about the same color as your car I think.
