    Hey guys,

Ive read through the forums for the last few days, but still have a few questions.

    Info:

    1984 Toyota Supra

-3 month old OEM black repaint (non clear coat)

-car was wet sanded, minimal orange peel left

-car had a quickie 3M hand glaze job done to it, about a month after the paint job. Nothing has been done to it since, It sat in a garage under a cover.

-car is NOT a daily driver, durability is not a concern..I want max shine

    -I HATE swirl marks/scratches

-No swirls or scratches on it yet really, just some evidence of the lame hand glaze done by an orbital

    -nothing in the paint (contaminants)

    Goals

Absolutely best finish, with best depth/shine. As little visible scratches as possible. Its a garage queen that sees the road 3k miles a year, so I do not need something that will hold up to salt, Id rather have a more delicate but bettter shine.

    Method

Follow the above to a T.

All done by hand. I was going to buy Fieldcrest towels from this URL for the cleanser, glaze and wax applications.

    Questions

    1.2. I need a new mitt/sponge etc. What should I use?

    2. Any tips for non clearcoat black? Ive never owned a car with this paint.

    Thanks in advance

You state that you are looking for the best possible finish for your car - you want depth/reflectivity and durability is not an issue. I have 2 words for you...Pinnacle Souveran. :up If Souveran does not supply you with the "look" that you are after, nothing will. It`s great stuff.

It`s up to you if you wish to use a sealant prior to the Souveran, but the Pinnacle Souveran is your best bet especially on a black finish. :xyxthumbs

As far as the mitt goes, I`d highly recommend the Micro Fiber Wash Mitt from Classic Motoring Accessories (CMA).

Even though I`ve never used it, I would expect Pinnacle Souveran to be the answer. There`s just too many good reviews about it.

Cool, I actually have Souveran in the collection. I tried it on the daily drivers, and it didnt last..so I used Blitz from that point on. This black car rarely gets driven, so Souveran is the answer

Ive never used the 2 Klasses steps that are outlined in that how-to, Im actually very excited to do that thorough of a job...I suspect It will look awesome. The paint guy laid it beautifully, so for the 1st time in my life Im dealing with clean slate.

Thanks for the link to the mitt, Im going to order some stuff from there ASAP.

    Thanks!!
