I have been looking for this for some time now. I worked at a car dealership a long time ago and we used this acid based wheel cleaner which we only used on sealed, painted, or crome rims. This stuff was the coolest, easiest to use stuff ever! It worked well on many other things too like applying it to glass with a towel to remove water spots. Also removed rust from rusty bolts and brake rotors, Etc. Anybody know what and where to buy this kind of product?

I think it was one of these:

I don`t want to have to order it by bulk though. Thanks.

try to talk to a local detailer or car wash (since that`s where you saw the product) and see if you can buy some off of them.

Please stay away from anything containing hydrofluoric acid which is very easily absorbed through the skin, eyes, inhaled etc and very quickly works to deplete your body of much needed calcium. Alot of cheaper companies make such a product and it works great but is very dangerous. You don`t want to ever get into contact with any acid but this acid in particular is very dangerous.

So if an acid wheel cleaner is a must make sure it is either sulphuric or muriatic acid based and even then as I`m sure you know since you worked with it, be careful.
