What commercial grade extractors are among the best being used today?

12 years ago, I had a fairly powerful unit from Sears.

if you want a genuine commercial grade check out any local janitorial supplier who sells machines. some good names to look for are castex, windsor, kent, betco, tennent, they all make pretty decent machines but you will pay more than for a retail extractor from sears simply because they are built with better components.
