I just finished using some rubbing compound on some clear coat to bring out the shine on a piece of plastic. I was wondering can I apply more clear coat at this point? I decided I wanted A LOT more layers of clear coat than the 2 that`s on there now.

    Thanks

I don`t get it... you said you`re working on plastic. What is it you`re polishing?

Sorry if I was vague. I painted a piece of exterior plastic and clear coated it. Wet sanded it to get a smooth surface and then used rubbing compound to bring out the shine/gloss. Can I add more clear coat at this point?
