    There has been a recent post where the use of pigmeneted dye wax is used (to great effect). What is the idea behind this stuff. Are you seeing the paint or the dye?

    Over the years have played with this sort of thing.



    Notice the picture of the Bentley, the clear is not bright.



    Now, think about putting some color on top of a clear.



    It will reduce the reflective value of the clear, reducing the brightness and that is what I see in the picture.



    What do you see vs what we see using regular quality waxes and sealants on our clearcoats?



    Are they not brighter, more gloss, more reflective?



    Look at the sides of the vehicle, the hood area, I don`t see a strong reflection of the surounding area.



    Just my thoughts.
