    Color Coding Towels

So who here has completely separate color codes for different apps in your stash : detailing regimen
I`ve been doing a sharpie stain @ times when I just want to ID them.

Eh, got some extra rainy day funds. Might dip into the rainy day pocket and splurge on some alternate colors just because it`s a whole lot leather than a sharpie marker ;-)

‘Definitely. The only issue I’ve run into is my favorite wash towel and drying towels have the same color combination. Cobra Buff and Shine (blue/gray) for wash and Griot’s PFM (gray) and McKee’s Glacier PFM (light blue) for drying.

Ive dumbed it down a bit. I used to do 6 colors. Now I do Grey - interior, Black - Wheels, Blue - Glass. Paint is anything soft and fluffy dont care about the color but they only get used for paint.

I try to but Don’t alway have the dedication and sometimes grab closest towel. The only way I can really do this if I do new and used towels. But color coding would be better overall.

    Re: Color Coding Towels

I downgrade my towels after a certain point and buy a different color towel for the “top tier”. I have three different levels. The best towels are for perfect paint. Middle is for cars that need a little TLC or interiors. Lowest tier is for paint in rough shape, wheel wells, underbody, tires, etc.
